In memorial of Tony Wacks

Published on January 1, 2021 by Crawfords Accounting

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Mr Tony Wacks. He died  in hospital on Thursday 31st December 2020 following a period of illness.  Our thoughts are with his family at this time, in particular Tony’s wife Janice and children.

Tony will be sadly missed by everyone he came into contact with including his colleagues at Crawfords Accountants, his professional contacts, friends and of course his clients.

As the Senior Partner of Crawfords, Tony played a pivotal role on the firm’s development. He joined the late Stanley Crawford in 1973 and went on to guide the firm to its current position with five partners and a team of 23.  His lasting legacy is to have created a business which in turn has helped many other businesses to grow and prosper.

Tony was committed to helping others.  He will be especially remembered for the outstanding contribution he made to the Norwood charity which helps vulnerable children and their families, children with special educational needs and people with learning disabilities.  Tony’s annual cycling challenges took place in inhospitable terrain and raised significant funds over many years.

We are all deeply saddened by the passing of Tony and consider ourselves fortunate to have worked alongside him.   We are committed to continuing his ethos of client care and the highest professional standards.
